Mounting with Hammer & Mounting Device  : The Bearing is frequently mounted with a Hammer & Mounting Device. Do not strike the Bearing directly ; this can damage the Bearing. Hit the Mounting Device with a Hammer , as illustrated above. Tap the Mounting Device lightly , using many strokes .

 

Removal using Bearing Puller & Soft Metal Device : When removing the Bearing with a Bearing Puller , use a piece of Soft Metal to protectthe shaft from being scratched .
Other Precautions : Bearings are precision product & must be given appropriate treatment at all times.
A great number of Bearings failure occur due to carelessness in handling & fitting . Therefore , it is both advisable & economical to fit bearings with suitable dress fixture under controlled mechanical pressure on the ring which is to be mounted .
